We are glad to inform you that upon the latest implementation of our new Alfa Laval Boilers simulator system (PLC based), we finalized the dates for our new Alfa Laval Upgraded Training session.

This upgraded training will be in reference to all vessels equipped with OL/D type boilers with KBSD vertical burner systems and will include training both on Unisab controllers and on the ALTC (new siemens simatic PLC systems).

Utilizing TECHNAVA Training Centre facilities in Schisto Industrial Park, where both UNISAB Controllers and ALTC PLC-control based systems are installed, the training will enable participants to further exercise their knowledge both on Unisab and PLC systems.

  WinGD is a leading developer of two-stroke low-speed gas and diesel engines.

The WinGD training centre, located at Technava premises in Schisto (Piraeus), is offering a wide variety of training courses and is covering the full WinGD Engines’ portfolio.

Relevant courses are covering theoretical topics and hands on practice, using conventional training material and the modern state of the art W-expert Engine Simulator.

Full mission Engine Room simulator enables guiding trainees through operational aspects as well as demonstrating procedures and guidelines on troubleshooting matters.

• Framo Training Center

For over 50 years Framo AS is manufacturing the most reliable Cargo Pump systems while keeps leading the marine industry on hydraulic pump’s technology.

Framo Training course is ideal both for crew members and superintendents, covering basic pump theory, operation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.
Aim of this course is the better understanding of the equipment, leading to safer and more efficient cargo handling and reduced maintenance and operation costs.

The simulator

Framo AS, in cooperation with Technava has developed a consolidated Framo cargo pump system simulator in Technava’s training center, that consists of Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU), tank system with submerged cargo pump, control panel, emergency cargo pump and all required auxiliary systems along with loose pumps, equipment for repair/demonstration purposes and deck heater unit.

Taking advantage of Framo simulator, participants are building up the required knowledge and hands-on experience, enabling them to operate the Cargo Pump System effectively while also focusing on preventive maintenance, various troubleshooting actions and repair works.

Also, participants are being introduced in Framo Cargo System with a detailed presentation, operating patterns analysis on vessel’s loading & discharging conditions, as well as on stripping & tank cleaning operations.
